The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Freddy Izel hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Örsjö's Roy Finsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Tabor in the 6th minute of play. When San Lorenzo's Delmiro Tabor, in the 6th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo. In the 9th minute Arvid Andreasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Azeari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mabrouk Dolar scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roy Finsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jens-Erik Alin hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. San Lorenzo's Delmiro Tabor got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Toro in the 23rd minute of play forced Örsjö's goalkeeper Roy Finsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match, Mario Cordario got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roy Finsberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 28 minutes into the game, Celestino Toro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Roy Finsberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 45 played minutes Örsjö got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Karlsson. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Anthon Söderlund put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Örsjö fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celestino Toro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Celestino Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Finsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arvid Andreasson's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arvid Andreasson helped the player get up and apologised. Arvid Andreasson hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes, San Lorenzo's Mabrouk Dolar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roy Finsberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Lorenzo reached it. San Lorenzo's Celestino Toro got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roy Finsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mabrouk Dolar in the 63rd minute of play forced Örsjö's goalkeeper Roy Finsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Fix to maneuver through the defense. Donato Azeari was a little too slow when Stig-Ove Åkerström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 3-1. Örsjö's Stig-Ove Åkerström got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When San Lorenzo's Mario Cordario in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Örsjö's goalie prevented a goal. 79 minutes into the game, San Lorenzo's Mabrouk Dolar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roy Finsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Roy Finsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Toro in the 84th minute of the match. Leo Fix's late challenge caught a Örsjö's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Fix helped the player get up and apologised. Donato Azeari was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Knut Biörkman.
