The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo Sikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Buccella in the 2nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roy Abrahamsson got free with Alvise Castellazzi in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Sundborn IF getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Alvin Pihlblad hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarl Axelsson in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvise Castellazzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Stellan Wallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarl Axelsson got free with Alvise Castellazzi in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by BRAL VAL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alvin Pihlblad was slow to take the kick. During this time Sundborn IF's players had a chance to rest. Alvin Pihlblad made a great header on Sundborn IF's corner, it was just that BRAL VAL's Alvise Castellazzi managed to reach the ball for a save. 20 minutes into the match, Stellan Wallmark dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alvise Castellazzi, 1-0. If Cristoforo Cinque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Jarl Axelsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alvise Castellazzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. BRAL VAL's Alvise Castellazzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarl Axelsson in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Abrahamsson in the 37th minute of play forced BRAL VAL's goalkeeper Alvise Castellazzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jarl Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Sundborn IF's Stellan Wallmark dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stellan Wallmark stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sundborn IF's Hugo Sikström got control of the ball when Cristoforo Cinque tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute Stellan Wallmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvise Castellazzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sundborn IF's Hugo Sikström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Sundborn IF from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, BRAL VAL's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Abrahamsson came free, but Alvise Castellazzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BRAL VAL's Alvise Castellazzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stellan Wallmark in the 78th minute of play. If Pål Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sundborn IF's Börje Åkesson was substituted for Roy Abrahamsson. Alvise Castellazzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Jarl Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Castellazzi having to interfere. Dave Tagliente hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Sundborn IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
