FC Alytus United's Faustas Mileška played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Savas Papageorgiou in the 17th minute of play. Evaggelos Komaitis came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Alytus United's Herkus Ambrazas. But to his dismay, Herkus Ambrazas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The audience was convinced that Saulius Inzaghi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaggelos Komaitis was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. FC Alytus United were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after PaoK Neapoleos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daavid Šembera took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Daavid Šembera got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Evaggelos Komaitis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Evaggelos Komaitis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herkus Ambrazas went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, Saulius Inzaghi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaggelos Komaitis. PaoK Neapoleos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saulius Inzaghi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in PaoK Neapoleos's zone, Vidas Jasiūnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaggelos Komaitis came out of the goal and Vidas Jasiūnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of PaoK Neapoleos booed when FC Alytus United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saulius Inzaghi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The PaoK Neapoleos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Alytus United were winning 0-5.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Herkus Ambrazas got free with Evaggelos Komaitis in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaggelos Komaitis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vidas Jasiūnas in the 57th minute. After 59 played minutes PaoK Neapoleos got a freekick which was hit by Panagiotis Kapogiannopoulos. Nikos Lyberopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nikos Lyberopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, PaoK Neapoleos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Lyberopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Vidas Jasiūnas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Evaggelos Komaitis made a huge save. The supporters of FC Alytus United booed when PaoK Neapoleos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Lyberopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaggelos Komaitis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Saulius Inzaghi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 80 minute of play. Evaggelos Komaitis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herkus Ambrazas in the 86th minute. Vidas Jasiūnas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded FC Alytus United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PaoK Neapoleos.
