Despite this Themistoklis Charalambakis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Matungo Gaúcho's Dário da Cunha got control of the ball when Vaios Sakoulidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vaios Sakoulidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Dário da Cunha made a huge save. Panagiotis Bourousis charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panagiotis Bourousis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Panagiotis Bourousis hit a great ball. If Betão de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panagiotis Bourousis made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Giannis Papakostopoulos immediately put the ball in play. Matungo Gaúcho's Dário da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Dário da Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andrézinho Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Miltos Theriaklis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Dário da Cunha to make any attempt to save it. Carlos Fernando Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Dário da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaios Sakoulidis in the 65th minute of play. Dário da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Miltos Theriaklis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Dário da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Matungo Gaúcho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Giannis Papakostopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Go Ahead Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Papakostopoulos couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Miltiadis Egomitis made a precise shot to the right of Dário da Cunha. Matungo Gaúcho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0.
