The ball had pretty good speed, but Three De Four firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Honung's Lars Kråk got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 47 played minutes Royal Antwerp F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Heijligem. Diederick Van den Plas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Pålsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Royal Antwerp F.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Wesley Hollanders hit a great ball. In the 60th match minute Emil Unesson ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Diederick Van den Plas. 1-3. In the 63rd minute, Honung's Magnus Pålsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Emil Unesson hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Honung got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Jakobsson. After 75 played minutes Honung got a freekick which was hit by Lars Kråk. Three De Four showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Justens in the 80th minute of the match. Hector De Deygere hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute Wannes Tielemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Three De Four saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diederick Van den Plas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Pålsson in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Honung walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
