After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Josué Pacheco got a free kick in the 4th minute. Adelino Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kit Vire, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 9 minutes, Edmundo da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austra 04 VFC and the SC Braga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Edmundo da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes, SC Braga's Caetano Coutinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kitt Pegov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Braga reached it. Kitt Pegov made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Ricardo Vasques sent off a good shot on target. Cássio Osório fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kitt Pegov having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Joaquim Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kitt Pegov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Vasques, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Austra 04 VFC's Kitt Pegov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Vasques in the 30th minute of play. Marcus Pollard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adelino Coelho having to make a save. After some careless play in the SC Braga defense, Marcus Pollard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelino Coelho. The SC Braga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelino Coelho should have stopped the shot. Josué Pacheco kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Ricardo Vasques recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kitt Pegov. Ricardo Vasques showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 46th match minute, Austra 04 VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Baiano to maneuver through the defense. Bebeto Baiano hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

SC Braga's Adelino Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Pollard in the 54th minute of play. Moisés Álvares hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Marcus Pollard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adelino Coelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcus Pollard slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 58th minute. SC Braga's Adelino Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save SC Braga from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rony Nunes got free with Adelino Coelho in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kitt Pegov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Figueiras, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
