When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, György Weszely took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ismael Momparte to make any attempt to save it. After 11 minutes, Marcell Sebők mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valencia CF Mindszent and the GOMEZ F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. GOMEZ F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sandro Schiffer in the 17th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Santiago-Tomas Gentiletti heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Lloret in the 21st minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Viktor Tolnai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Valencia CF Mindszent defense, Patricio Lloret kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viktor Tolnai. The Valencia CF Mindszent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viktor Tolnai should have stopped the shot. After 28 played minutes Valencia CF Mindszent got a freekick which was hit by Endre Irmai. 33 minutes into the match, GOMEZ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when György Weszely came free, but Ismael Momparte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of GOMEZ F.C. booed when Valencia CF Mindszent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richárd Bodonyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Lloret's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viktor Tolnai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Richárd Bodonyi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valencia CF Mindszent's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GOMEZ F.C. the free kick. Richárd Bodonyi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes GOMEZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Santamaria. Valencia CF Mindszent's Szilárd Virágh shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ismael Momparte but with some difficulty. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

João Keane kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Valencia CF Mindszent's Endre Kocsis got a free kick in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Lloret came free, but Viktor Tolnai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Valencia CF Mindszent getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ádám Balla hit a great ball. After 77 minutes of play Valencia CF Mindszent's Marcell Sebők was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, GOMEZ F.C.'s João Keane got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 85th match minute, GOMEZ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valery Monedero to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Lloret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Tolnai having to interfere. After 95 played minutes GOMEZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Santiago-Tomas Gentiletti. GOMEZ F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
