Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Arthur Amorim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 31st minute AVAÍ F.C. were awarded a corner. Luiz Pombal went to the cornerflag to take it. 32 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Raymundo came free, but Jailson Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Walmyr Salles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arthur Amorim. The goal made the score 1-0. Walmyr Salles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Arthur Amorim skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arthur Amorim came out of the goal and Walmyr Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arthur Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute AVAÍ F.C. were awarded a corner. Elias Figueroa went to the cornerflag to take it. Elias Figueroa made a great header on AVAÍ F.C.'s corner, it was just that Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. 76 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's Niceto Xacintu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jailson Teles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AVAÍ F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Flying Dutch had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
