Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ilias Vidalis kicked off to start the match. Shawn Ashby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Dimitropoulos in the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 minutes of play, Atletico de Madrid's Giannis Dimitropoulos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shawn Ashby was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ilias Vidalis took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shawn Ashby. Shawn Ashby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Sands in the 17th minute of play forced Atletico de Madrid's goalkeeper Marcelo Frans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shawn Ashby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilias Vidalis, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in American Top Team's zone, Charis Sakalakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shawn Ashby came out of the goal and Charis Sakalakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute Aadam Aaabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shawn Ashby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Ellis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. American Top Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico de Madrid the free kick. The audience was convinced that Robert Sands's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Frans was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 33rdth minute of the game Giannis Dimitropoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but American Top Team's Shawn Ashby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Shawn Ashby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charis Sakalakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 41 minutes of play, Atletico de Madrid's Charis Sakalakis made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shawn Ashby was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Christoforos Tiganidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Sands to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play American Top Team's Jonathan Richards was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to American Top Team getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jonathan Richards hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Charis Sakalakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico de Madrid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Charis Sakalakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Shawn Ashby made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Giannis Dimitropoulos took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Shawn Ashby to make any attempt to save it. 66 minutes into the game, Charis Sakalakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Shawn Ashby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stanley Houston kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Shawn Ashby made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Omiros Simos sent off a good shot on target. Ilias Vidaliss short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Shawn Ashby to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 83rd minute of the match, Giannis Dimitropoulos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Shawn Ashby saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Shawn Ashby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Dimitropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giannis Dimitropoulos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Shawn Ashby came out and tried to block the shot, but Giannis Dimitropoulos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 85th minute. With a little luck, American Top Team's Shawn Ashby got control of the ball when Charis Sakalakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th match minute, American Top Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Eason to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute of the match Segundo Maule sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shawn Ashby skillfully saved the ball. The American Top Team fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atletico de Madrid were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
