The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Aston Villa FC defense, Panagiotis Klapanaras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filiph Hägg. The Aston Villa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filiph Hägg should have stopped the shot. Paschalis Kontogiannidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Forsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. BPS F.C.'s Paschalis Kontogiannidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Forsberg in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, BPS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Forsberg came free, but Paschalis Kontogiannidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Panagiotis Klapanaras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filiph Hägg was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Merrill Pryor took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Paschalis Kontogiannidis to make any attempt to save it. In the 24th minute Spyros Gaitanidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiph Hägg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BPS F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aston Villa FC the free kick. Jonas Forsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paschalis Kontogiannidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Tim Lund recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paschalis Kontogiannidis. Tim Lund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. In the 41st minute, Herbert Kristiansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When BPS F.C.'s Panagiotis Klapanaras in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aston Villa FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Tim Lund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a little luck, Aston Villa FC's Filiph Hägg got control of the ball when Panos Tavanidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Lund in the 61st minute of play forced BPS F.C.'s goalkeeper Paschalis Kontogiannidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasper Helander hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Filiph Hägg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Tavanidis in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panagiotis Klapanaras in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiph Hägg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Panagiotis Klapanaras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Filiph Hägg made a huge save. BPS F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thodoris Nianios in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Aston Villa FC's Filiph Hägg got control of the ball when Panos Tavanidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stavros Lagoudakis came free, but Filiph Hägg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Tim Lund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Aston Villa FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
