Syd Cullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merrill Pryor in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Real Death Ducks's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Lund came free, but Syd Cullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklin de Queiroz got free with Filiph Hägg in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, one of Aston Villa FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aston Villa FC. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Tim Lund took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Syd Cullen to make any attempt to save it. Filiph Hägg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ive Volckaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Death Ducks.
