In the 41st minute, one of La Academia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Academia. After the first half Forzositos de Salamanca were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Macario was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Mazuste in the 73rd minute of play forced Forzositos de Salamanca's goalkeeper Gualterio Paublo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes Forzositos de Salamanca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugo Porta who took care of the corner kick. Aaron Mazuste struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Gualterio Paublo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Academia. In the 90th minute La Academia were awarded a corner. Hugo Porta went to the cornerflag to take it. La Academia's Hugo Porta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gualterio Paublo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 93 minutes into the match, La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Macias. The La Academia manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Forzositos de Salamanca to win.
