The Estudiantes de La Plata fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Estudiantes de La Plata's Filomeno Marko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 47thth minute of the game Filomeno Marko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 20 de Março FC's Betão de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

Estudiantes de La Plata's Joel Barco was substituted for Mauro Evarado. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filomeno Marko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Betão de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 96 minutes into the match, 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Betão de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Bilintx. Estudiantes de La Plata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
