An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 5th minute of play forced El Pasteral F.C's goalkeeper Kevin Verdu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Pasteral F.C's goalkeeper Kevin Verdu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kevin Verdu. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Joaquim Paredes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Verdu having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Paredes in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Verdu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim Paredes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Kevin Verdu made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Albi Koka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, El Pasteral F.C's Kevin Verdu got control of the ball when Joaquim Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Joaquim Paredes struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Kevin Verdu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremio Viana. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chus Saavedra during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Paredes was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Paredes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Verdu having to make a save. Chus Saavedra hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Gremio Viana's Joaquim Paredes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevin Verdu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna was substituted for Joaquim Paredes. Kevin Verdu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Luna, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the El Pasteral F.C defense, Carlos Luna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Verdu. The El Pasteral F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Verdu should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Carlos Luna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gremio Viana's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Luna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Verdu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Carlos Luna put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kevin Verdu. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Carlos Luna sped through El Pasteral F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kevin Verdu. Kevin Verdu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Luna in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Carlos Luna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevin Verdu was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Kevin Verdu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Luna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Gremio Viana were the better team. Gremio Viana's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
