A collision led to Maritek FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Eugenio Palumbo hit a great ball. Maritek FC's Hélio O'Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Tătaru in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Maritek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippo Lucente to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Karl-Ove Örtendal put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Preator Edikt's Karl-Ove Örtendal got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Ashley Cole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Pihlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Mariani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Pihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Zarillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Preator Edikt's Jan Pihlberg got control of the ball when Ettore Santo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Preator Edikt's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Santo came free, but Jan Pihlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Stig-Ove Blomqvist made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Zarillo in the 51st minute of play forced Preator Edikt's goalkeeper Jan Pihlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Pihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Santo in the 54th minute of play. Hélio O'Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Preator Edikt's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Zarillo came free, but Jan Pihlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Preator Edikt's Albert Örnberg was substituted for Fellipe Vianna. In the 63rd minute of the match Maritek FC got a corner. Preator Edikt's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrea Mariani ran over to the corner to take the kick. Albert Örnberg thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jan Pihlberg, a very annoying self made goal in the 64th minute which led to 1-0. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Preator Edikt reached it. Preator Edikt's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
