After 4 played minutes Zawisza Bydgoszcz got a freekick which was hit by Healey McLian. The crowd rose to their feet as Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fryderyk Lepper. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Jan Pihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Scott Colwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Aengus Duggan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Pihlberg was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Healey McLian kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Horia Tătaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fryderyk Lepper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Preator Edikt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashley Cole to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Aengus Duggan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Pihlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Healey McLian made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Preator Edikt's Ashley Cole. Aengus Duggan scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Pihlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan Pihlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aengus Duggan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scott Colwell hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Preator Edikt's Stig-Ove Blomqvist was substituted for Horia Tătaru. Scott Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig-Ove Blomqvist made a kick off. Aengus Duggan struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Jan Pihlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zawisza Bydgoszcz. The throw-in from Healey McLian in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Preator Edikt's Kenneth Björnberg. In the 69th minute, Coileán McAlphie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley Cole in the 71st minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Fryderyk Lepper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fryderyk Lepper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Preator Edikt's zone, Coileán McAlphie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Pihlberg came out of the goal and Coileán McAlphie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fryderyk Lepper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Fryderyk Lepper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 82nd minute of play. Fryderyk Lepper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Blomqvist in the 84th minute of play. Healey McLian hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Coileán McAlphie fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 96 played minutes Preator Edikt got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Larsson. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
