When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Jailson Barral put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hélio O'Connell. Hélio O'Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felice Tacco hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Felice Tacco took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fran Guerola. Fran Guerola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 29 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Ferruccio Zarillo. If Ferruccio Zarillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 33 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Eli Mariani. Battal Gazi Bey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Hélio O'Connell made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goalkeeper Hélio O'Connell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Rosa. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Rosa in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélio O'Connell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hélio O'Connell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hortêncio Rosa's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Hortêncio Rosa made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of S O B E R A N O CIMZ booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Tacco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Felice Tacco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Santo in the 58th minute of play forced S O B E R A N O CIMZ's goalkeeper Fran Guerola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélio O'Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maritek FC's Hélio O'Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Rosa in the 64th minute of play. 64 minutes in the game, Hortêncio Rosa dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. S O B E R A N O CIMZ made a substitution. Eliézer de Queirós replaced Christiano Amaral. Fran Guerola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio Zarillo in the 67th minute. With a little luck, S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Fran Guerola got control of the ball when Felice Tacco tried to sneak it across the goal line. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Fran Guerola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save S O B E R A N O CIMZ from getting a goal against them. Hélio O'Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Guedes in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Maritek FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ferruccio Zarillo hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Ferruccio Zarillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute Dito Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio O'Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maritek FC's Alfredo Toschi was substituted for Ettore Santo. 85 minutes into the match, S O B E R A N O CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Moita came free, but Fran Guerola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Dito Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio O'Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, S O B E R A N O CIMZ's goalkeeper Fran Guerola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Moita. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
