The crowd rose to their feet as Mateusz Matusiak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Agustin Rossi. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Ender Tanacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Danes in the 20th minute of play. Valentin Lidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite this Agustin Rossi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 40 minutes into the match, Valentin Lidon notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of 1461 Trabzon's Ender Tanacan. Ender Tanacan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateusz Matusiak to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustin Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frans Lundgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ender Tanacan made a huge save. Mateusz Matusiak might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustin Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateusz Matusiak ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustin Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateusz Matusiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 1461 Trabzon made a substitution. Kuzey Yerlikaya replaced Yusuf İrem. The supporters of 1461 Trabzon booed when Ombu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateusz Matusiak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Frans Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mateusz Matusiak struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Agustin Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1461 Trabzon. In the 83rd minute Gazanfer Özcan Remiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agustin Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The 1461 Trabzon players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
