In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Del Acuerdo's goalkeeper Stefan Kalak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of 1461 Trabzon booed when Del Acuerdo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofil Narbut in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ender Tanacan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to 1461 Trabzon getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Sabit Acemoğlu hit a great ball. After the first half 1461 Trabzon were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 94th minute Celso Rumaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ender Tanacan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 1461 Trabzon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 1461 Trabzon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
