Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zheng Liang Song in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan got control of the ball when Hector Etxepare tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yunus Civan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Etxepare in the 12th minute of the match. Raymond Foubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Otsando in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Olympique Salonais getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tang Xi Zhen hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Song Peng Xi came free, but Yunus Civan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Alejo Otsando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yunus Civan was a little too slow when Song Peng Xi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. Raymond Foubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Otsando in the 32nd minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Trabzonspor's Alejo Otsando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raymond Foubert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Alejo Otsando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raymond Foubert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Alejo Otsando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Foubert. Olympique Salonais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejo Otsando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Raymond Foubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Utku İnegöllü in the 39th minute of play. Jean-Christophe Grenard made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Trabzonspor's Ataman Kutun. Yunus Civan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Song Peng Xi in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejo Otsando made a kick off. Alejo Otsando might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raymond Foubert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejo Otsando ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 51st minute Alejo Otsando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yunus Civan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Etxepare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond Foubert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ataman Kutun, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Yunus Civan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Etxepare in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Trabzonspor's Alejo Otsando made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raymond Foubert was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Hector Etxepare had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yunus Civan. Trabzonspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Etxepare was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Trabzonspor made a substitution. Vacid Oğuzata replaced Lucio Claus. Olympique Salonais made a substitution. Hilario Chale replaced Hector Etxepare. Raymond Foubert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raşit Timuroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Raymond Foubert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raşit Timuroz's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Olympique Salonais's Hilario Chale managed to work through Trabzonspor's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hilario Chale dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The throw-in from Ma Chao Yong in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Trabzonspor's Ivo Waard. Yunus Civan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Chale, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Raşit Timuroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Raşit Timuroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Foubert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute Raşit Timuroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Trabzonspor were awarded a corner. Ivo Waard went to the cornerflag to take it. Noël Maunoury hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ivo Waard struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Raymond Foubert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trabzonspor. In the 92nd minute, Trabzonspor's Ivo Waard seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ivo Waard the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Trabzonspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ivo Waard had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ivo Waard hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes, Olympique Salonais's Jean-Christophe Grenard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yunus Civan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olympique Salonais reached it. The Trabzonspor players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
