An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Guimarães in the 10th minute of play forced G A I S's goalkeeper Staffan Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Staffan Eckegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Guimarães in the 16th minute of play. Dromes FC's Juan Pablo Rodríguez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Baba Baba in the 17 minute of the game. In the 19th minute of the game Baba Baba made a throw-in which Norman Mabalane played forward. Thanks to some nice moves Cléber Marinho could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Atilano Benat however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute of the match, Rafael Zaldua tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Atilano Benat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Cléber Marinho took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Atilano Benat to make any attempt to save it. After 28 minutes, Baba Baba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the G A I S and the Dromes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 31 minutes into the match, Dromes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Zaldua came free, but Atilano Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthias Bern could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Atilano Benat made a huge save. Atilano Benat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Mabalane, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Atilano Benat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Zaldua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Raimundo Guimarães made the kick off in the second half. Rafael Zaldua struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Atilano Benat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G A I S. Dromes FC's Atilano Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herman Biörkman in the 56th minute of play. Atilano Benat came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by G A I S's Herman Biörkman. But to his dismay, Herman Biörkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Atilano Benat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Marinho in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, John Jernberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. G A I S's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dromes FC the free kick. John Jernberg kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. G A I S's Zavior Moiselo was substituted for Herman Biörkman. Norman Mabalane hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Atilano Benat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Zaldua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Dromes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Zaldua came free, but Atilano Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Bern in the 94th minute of play forced Dromes FC's goalkeeper Atilano Benat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Humberto Lleir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dromes FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for G A I S.
