A collision led to G A I S getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Herman Biörkman hit a great ball. When Cheng Feng fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Salonais's protests and gave Cheng Feng a yellow card for diving instead. G A I S made a substitution. Zavior Moiselo replaced Herman Biörkman. Matthias Bern recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raymond Foubert made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Cléber Marinho sent off a good shot on target. Matthias Bern could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Raymond Foubert made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Chale in the 95th minute of play forced G A I S's goalkeeper Staffan Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. G A I S had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
