Bryan Barron hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Rigoberto Argider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ged Nightingale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Talleres de Escalada's Thibault Moon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pacho Quintianan in the 15 minute of the game. Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Talleres de Escalada from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres de Escalada's zone, Fabricio Enekoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Leheren came out of the goal and Fabricio Enekoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Talleres de Escalada from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute of the match, Grzegorz Piechna got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martin Leheren was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Arrows Academy FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Guy Hogg hit a great ball. When Talleres de Escalada's Rigoberto Argider in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arrows Academy FC's goalie prevented a goal. Rigoberto Argider struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ged Nightingale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres de Escalada. Arrows Academy FC's Ged Nightingale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Argider in the 33rd minute of play. Ged Nightingale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Argider, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Talleres de Escalada's Jonas Tingelholm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ged Nightingale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Larry Ferrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Leheren was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Larry Ferrell put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Martin Leheren. If Jonas Tingelholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Argider stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonas Tingelholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guy Hogg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Arrows Academy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Argider came free, but Ged Nightingale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ged Nightingale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Argider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonzalo Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Talleres de Escalada's Ioan Pușcașu was substituted for Remigio Feliu. Talleres de Escalada's Jonny Saran quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pacho Quintianan, made in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th minute Grzegorz Piechna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Leheren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grzegorz Piechna, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With a little luck, Arrows Academy FC's Ged Nightingale got control of the ball when Rigoberto Argider tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Leheren came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Arrows Academy FC's Larry Ferrell. But to his dismay, Larry Ferrell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Martin Leheren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Ferrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Talleres de Escalada's Martin Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Ferrell in the 95th minute of play. Arrows Academy FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
