Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Iwo Sawicki made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tiger's zone, Zygmunt Dunajski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josef Witlatschil came out of the goal and Zygmunt Dunajski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiger made a substitution. Américo Baehr replaced Fatih Schwemer. Marian Văduvescu made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Pentti Ojala sent off a good shot on target. Thilo Heß hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Filip Paulescu hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Marian Văduvescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 89th minute Tiger were awarded a corner. Américo Baehr went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Christo Bothenhain heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marten Weise in the 95th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
