An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Albuquerque in the 3rd minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Ovidijus Merkelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Uolevi Hagman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis did a great save. After a rather tough play, Geležinis Vilkas's Svetlozar Platikanov got a free kick in the 7th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Albuquerque in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ovidijus Merkelis saved Geležinis Vilkas from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Albuquerque in the 12th minute of play forced Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Ovidijus Merkelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Albuquerque might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidijus Merkelis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacob Albuquerque ran back to his position shaking his head. Geležinis Vilkas's Ovidijus Merkelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Albuquerque in the 15th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Adana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Deimantas Satkus came free, but Anton Beck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Deimantas Satkus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anton Beck was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 24th minute of the match Geležinis Vilkas got a corner. Adana FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eitautas Ivoška ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anton Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deimantas Satkus in the 29th minute of play. Adana FC's Anton Beck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eidvilas Daunoras in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute Deimantas Satkus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Beck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Adana FC's Muzaffer Süphan got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacob Albuquerque to make the kick off. Donato Zoccolo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidijus Merkelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Adana FC's Jacob Albuquerque dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Adana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uolevi Hagman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deimantas Satkus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Ovidijus Merkelis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Adana FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Adana FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
