Anton Beck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Saldanha in the 4th minute of the match. If Stuparu Chyba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anderson Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Beck having to interfere. Jesus Eusko kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. If Şafak Akdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Şafak Akdemir came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Anderson Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Beck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jude Monkhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Şafak Akdemir threw the ball into play from the sideline. Várzea F.C.'s Luiz Eduardo Alcântara quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Carlos Augusto Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şafak Akdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute of the match, Stuparu Chyba got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Augusto Quintal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jude Monkhouse struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Anton Beck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Várzea F.C.. Anton Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Paiva in the 42nd minute of play. Muzaffer Süphan kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jude Monkhouse made a kick off. Anderson Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Anton Beck made a huge save. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Adana FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Eduardo Alcântara was slow to take the kick. During this time Várzea F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Paiva in the 65th minute of play forced Adana FC's goalkeeper Anton Beck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
