The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Brașoveanu got free with Gustave Souchu in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daddy Miner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Gustave Souchu made a huge save. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jean-Marc Buisson hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Alex Brașoveanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Popcorn Miner was the one to do the kick off. Gustave Souchu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daddy Miner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. R.C. Marseille's Djibril Mourot was substituted for Mihail Toader. Cyprien Auguste made in the 66th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Renan Bouzat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Brașoveanu in the 70th minute of play forced R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Souchu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, CS Minerul 03 CAVNIC ⚒ MM's goalkeeper Gabriel Postelnicescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Djibril Mourot. Gustave Souchu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Popcorn Miner's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. A collision led to CS Minerul 03 CAVNIC ⚒ MM getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Simula Miner hit a great ball. In the 84th match minute, R.C. Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Régis Saison to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Popcorn Miner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave Souchu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Popcorn Miner took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustave Souchu. Gustave Souchu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The CS Minerul 03 CAVNIC ⚒ MM support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
