Domingo Barcena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Imran Johnsson having to make a save. Pegaso FC's Imran Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Barcena in the 9th minute of play. Andres Pello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Balboa having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Barcena in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Imran Johnsson saved Pegaso FC from getting behind. Imran Johnsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingo Barcena went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Casado in the 27th minute of play. Ariel Balboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Pello in the 29th minute. Pegaso FC's attentive Federico Giraldo managed to snatch the ball when Xaime Morales made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Domingo Barcena took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Imran Johnsson. Imran Johnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. U. de Tarapacá's Muharrem Duman got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Imran Johnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muharrem Duman in the 41st minute of the match. Imran Johnsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Muharrem Duman went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

Pegaso FC's Niculae Boltașu was substituted for Dante Casado. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Barcena to make the kick off. The throw-in from Federico Giraldo in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U. de Tarapacá's Xaime Morales. Pegaso FC's Imran Johnsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Pegaso FC from getting a goal against them. U. de Tarapacá's Orfilio Orbañanos was substituted for Domingo Barcena. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Kim Heers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Imran Johnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Orfilio Orbañanos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U. de Tarapacá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After some careless play in the Pegaso FC defense, Orfilio Orbañanos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Imran Johnsson. The Pegaso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Imran Johnsson should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Pegaso FC booed when U. de Tarapacá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. León Philippi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Osvaldo Erroman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The U. de Tarapacá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
