The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The NeW York CitY CopS fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when NeW York CitY CopS's Francisco Ederono looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Enrique Hrabina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Horea Mihăilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Francisco Ederono came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the NeW York CitY CopS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Ederono couldn't finish the play. Enrique Hrabina struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Horea Mihăilă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NeW York CitY CopS. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Fabian Doroftei made the kick off in the second half. Teet Rosin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Mortu in the 50th minute of the match. If Fabian Doroftei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Leonard Mortu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teet Rosin. NeW York CitY CopS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonard Mortu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 63rd match minute, NeW York CitY CopS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Adrio to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Ederono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Mihăilă having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oinacul AS's Alin Rednic got a free kick in the 68th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as NeW York CitY CopS's Francisco Ederono slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horea Mihăilă. That made the score 1-3 after 77 minutes of play. When the match was over NeW York CitY CopS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Oinacul AS throughout the match.
