In the 10th match minute, Cylon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 姚广邦 to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cylon's goalkeeper 林城谦, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Cylon's 林城谦 got control of the ball when Ionel Mirea tried to sneak it across the goal line. 康荣凌 hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes Cylon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mircea Teodor who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Öztürk Terim managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cylon's 沈迪志 managed to work through Pagos FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. 沈迪志 dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Nuralp Akbal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 林城谦 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Montae in the 39th minute of play forced Cylon's goalkeeper 林城谦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Campens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 沈迪志, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Montae in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 林城谦 saved Cylon from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
