Artur Kosiorek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute, Ethan Stiles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Shakhtar Donetsk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Doug Holyfield took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Kosiorek. Artur Kosiorek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Harvey Smith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Shakhtar Donetsk from getting a goal against them. Tony Froggatt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Kosiorek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The FC Shakhtar Donetsk fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Ethan Stiles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tymoteusz Ciborek to make the kick off. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Tony Froggatt got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 54 minutes, Leszek Karwowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iskra Łódź's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leszek Karwowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Kosiorek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tony Froggatt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Leszek Karwowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iskra Łódź's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leszek Karwowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ethan Stiles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Artur Kosiorek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. But to his dismay, Ethan Stiles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Iskra Łódź's Artur Kosiorek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Iskra Łódź from getting a goal against them. Ethan Stiless short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Artur Kosiorek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Ethan Stiles put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Artur Kosiorek. FC Shakhtar Donetsk played a much better game than Iskra Łódź and deserved their victory. The Iskra Łódź players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
