The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Isto Leppiniemi came free, but Jan Basaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Isto Leppiniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Basaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otto Spets came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan Basaik could save by the left post. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Jan Basaik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Ogășanu in the 17th minute of play. Sven-Erik Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derman Cruchet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Erik Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derman Cruchet in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isto Leppiniemi in the 23rd minute of play forced KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Jan Basaik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, SE7EN's Cazimir Ogășanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan Basaik. Jan Basaik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Derman Cruchet took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Erik Fransson. Sven-Erik Fransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jan Basaik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isto Leppiniemi in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes in the game Oskar Grep did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Otto Spets. After a defensive mix-up in SE7EN's zone, Derman Cruchet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Erik Fransson came out of the goal and Derman Cruchet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Isto Leppiniemi came free, but Jan Basaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remigio Chico hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Isto Leppiniemi made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, SE7EN's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Fransson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derman Cruchet. Jan Basaik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Ogășanu in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute Derman Cruchet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Erik Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Basaik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Ogășanu in the 62nd minute of the match. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Hugon Murdza was substituted for Przemyslaw Moryl. SE7EN made a substitution. Torbjörn Hedvall replaced Otto Spets. 77 minutes into the game, Nereo Errapel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SE7EN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ the free kick. If Ale Glowacz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, SE7EN's Sven-Erik Fransson got control of the ball when Ale Glowacz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Ale Glowacz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Erik Fransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Ale Glowacz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven-Erik Fransson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 94 minutes into the match, SE7EN's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Quilino came free, but Sven-Erik Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Hedvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jan Basaik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
