Cosme Eron's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Santiago Cañizares - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 7th minute. The audience was convinced that Ivan Rubio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicklas Vennerlund was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. The corner led to Foguera's Luis-Miguel Rienda getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. El Patriarca ®'s Nicklas Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Villa in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Foguera's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Batista came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Foguera's David Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicklas Vennerlund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind El Patriarca ®'s goalkeeper Nicklas Vennerlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
