The supporters of O.T.E booed when Foguera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Saavedra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Foguera's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Rivera in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Rivera to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Ivan Rubio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of O.T.E's Javier García. The Foguera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Cañizares should have stopped the shot. Lakis Kazantzakis hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Javier García was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Yuvenaliy Berezovskiy. Foguera's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
