Narciso Dias was slow to take the kick. During this time Mayhem Sharks's players had a chance to rest. Aden Couzens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Dias in the 30th minute. Mayhem Sharks's Wellington de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Ödman in the 34th minute of play. Wellington de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Ödman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rickard Ödman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Ödman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington de Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wellington de Almeida came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Paulista's Klaus Nørbom. But to his dismay, Klaus Nørbom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Clube Atlético Paulista were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Saul Mambru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Wellington de Almeida made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Ödman in the 52nd minute of play forced Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Wellington de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noah Leverenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Rickard Ödman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Rossi might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aden Couzens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Rossi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th match minute, Clube Atlético Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Nørbom to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Paulista's Klaus Nørbom got a free kick in the 76th minute. Aden Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano de Andrade in the 78th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mayhem Sharks's Wellington de Almeida got control of the ball when Saul Mambru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saul Mambru spun around in front of the goal 81 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Mayhem Sharks's goal. The supporters of Mayhem Sharks booed when Clube Atlético Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Fabiano de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Aden Couzens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Clube Atlético Paulista booed when Mayhem Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Srđa Vulić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Rossi to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes Clube Atlético Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Aparecido. 94 minutes into the match, Luís Fabiano de Andrade notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Clube Atlético Paulista's Aden Couzens. Aden Couzens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Clube Atlético Paulista left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mayhem Sharks.
