Apat Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Fausto Mendonça received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Apat Reina came out and tried to block the shot, but Fausto Mendonça slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Mandrak in the 36th minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Mendonça in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apat Reina saved Retumbante FC from getting behind.

The Retumbante FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apat Reina should have stopped the shot. Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scarlet Speedster's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
