In the 16th minute Michaël Myers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apat Reina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Kauã Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Henric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Beremundo's late challenge caught a Retumbante FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Beremundo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Azulgranas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Beremundo to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Retumbante FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michaël Myers came free, but Apat Reina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kauã Mandrak took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Henric. Leo Henric dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Michaël Myers was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 42ndth minute of the game Juan Manuel Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Retumbante FC's Apat Reina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Juan Manuel Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apat Reina was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

Retumbante FC made a substitution. Jarbas Dantas replaced Basílio Cearense. Juan Manuel Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The crowd rose to their feet as Azulgranas AFC's Juan Manuel Cruz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Apat Reina. That made the score 1-1 after 76 minutes of play. José Paulo Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Henric. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Henric was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Belmiro Mello fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Retumbante FC's protests and gave Belmiro Mello a yellow card for diving instead. Belmiro Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Retumbante FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Azulgranas AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
