In the 8th minute Santiago Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Dan Dalman in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Victorio Cordarryl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Silva in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Edmondo Del Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ΠΑΟΚ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmondo Del Monte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Özcan Refah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Narciso Xabat notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist. Ingvar Nykvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Teofilo Lope got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Björn Kamp was slow to take the kick. During this time ΠΑΟΚ FC's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Silva in the 33rd minute of play forced ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's goalkeeper Victorio Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Luis Lleir hit a great ball. After 39 minutes of play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Edmondo Del Monte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victorio Cordarryl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victorio Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Del Monte in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st minute, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Edmondo Del Monte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Edmondo Del Monte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Cordarryl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute Edmondo Del Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Cordarryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Santiago Silva made the kick off in the second half. Santiago Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 played minutes, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Björn Kamp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorio Cordarryl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ΠΑΟΚ FC reached it. Victorio Cordarryl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmondo Del Monte went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 57th minute, Edmondo Del Monte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Edmondo Del Monte scored 5-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victorio Cordarryl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmondo Del Monte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ΠΑΟΚ FC made a substitution. Zheng Yang Zhen replaced Edmondo Del Monte. In the 66th minute, Santiago Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΠΑΟΚ FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Ingvar Nykvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Xabat in the 71st minute of the match. Victorio Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zheng Yang Zhen in the 72nd minute of the match. If Santiago Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute of the match Baldovino Argos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victorio Cordarryl skillfully saved the ball. Victorio Cordarryl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zheng Yang Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute, Zheng Yang Zhen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorio Cordarryl was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. 85 minutes into the match, ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's goal looked a bit too open when Zheng Yang Zhen came free, but Victorio Cordarryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zheng Yang Zhen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When ΠΑΟΚ FC's Santiago Silva in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Zheng Yang Zhen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Cordarryl having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ΠΑΟΚ FC had won after a very even match.
