Álvaro Gerber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Ikatz's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game Esteban Ikatz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galileia FC's Álvaro Gerber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 19th play minutes Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Álvaro Gerber and just under the crossbar into goal. Álvaro Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Ikatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Esteban Ikatz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Álvaro Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Esteban Ikatz scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro Gerber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 35th minute of play forced Galileia FC's goalkeeper Álvaro Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Ferm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Inocencio Veronica made a huge save. After some careless play in the Galileia FC defense, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Álvaro Gerber. The Galileia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Álvaro Gerber should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Tim Ferm fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galileia FC's protests and gave Tim Ferm a yellow card for diving instead. Tim Ferm kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Daniele in the 55th minute of play forced Galileia FC's goalkeeper Álvaro Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Mineiro came free, but Inocencio Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio had several of the Galileia FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Álvaro Gerber as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Galileia FC's Marco Queiroz got a free kick in the 66th minute. Álvaro Gerber made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Esteban Ikatz sent off a good shot on target. Galileia FC's Ilmari Seppo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 94th minute of the match. The Rafaela FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
