RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Mercescu in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, FC Acatar's Andrei Alexandrescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Lordi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, FC Acatar's goalkeeper Diamantino Lobo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Gora. 22 minutes into the game, FC Acatar's Andrei Alexandrescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Lordi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Ioan Hârlab came free, but Marcial Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 played minutes FC Acatar got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Mercescu. The supporters of RIVER booed when FC Acatar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandru Mercescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Wu Li Zhi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half FC Acatar were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th minute, Wu Li Zhi made a precise shot to the right of Diamantino Lobo. FC Acatar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. RIVER's Pipo Benedetto was substituted for Wu Li Zhi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niki Lauda during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, RIVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niki Lauda to maneuver through the defense. Marcial Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Hârlab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ioan Hârlab. When Niki Lauda was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. The supporters of FC Acatar booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niki Lauda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcial Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Hârlab in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pipo Benedetto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Lobo was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After some careless play in the RIVER defense, Andrei Alexandrescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Lordi. Diamantino Lobo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. When the match was over FC Acatar could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RIVER throughout the match.
