The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Atlético Bucaramanga's Shawn Michaels got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Amadeo Rocio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacintu Ribeiro in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xacintu Ribeiro in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Rocio saved Reall Madrid Marienburg from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Reall Madrid Marienburg's goal looked a bit too open when Xacintu Ribeiro came free, but Amadeo Rocio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xacintu Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Rocio having to make a save. Amadeo Rocio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacintu Ribeiro in the 19th minute of play. Amadeo Rocio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xacintu Ribeiro went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Amadeo Rocio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xacintu Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Lorenz Mendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Øskan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Bucaramanga's Patrik Øskan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenz Mendi in the 32nd minute of play. Bernd Rechmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Rocio having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xacintu Ribeiro in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Rocio saved Reall Madrid Marienburg from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Reall Madrid Marienburg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Reall Madrid Marienburg:s Amadeo Rocio showed great skill when he stopped Hernando Harroyo:s penalty. In the 41st minute, Hernando Harroyo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeo Rocio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 47th minute, Xacintu Ribeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Bucaramanga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xacintu Ribeiro made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Xacintu Ribeiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Amadeo Rocio however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xacintu Ribeiro in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Rocio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Atlético Bucaramanga's Jerson Gonzales was substituted for Adam Czubski. In the 60th minute Atlético Bucaramanga were awarded a corner. Hernando Harroyo went to the cornerflag to take it. Patrik Øskan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Barros in the 63rd minute of the match. After 65 minutes of play, Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Rocio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xacintu Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Jörg Milbradt in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Bucaramanga's Alberino Vieitez. A collision led to Atlético Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jerson Gonzales hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes Reall Madrid Marienburg got a freekick which was hit by Lorenz Mendi. In the 81st minute of the match Atlético Bucaramanga got a corner. Reall Madrid Marienburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hernando Harroyo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Atlético Bucaramanga's Jerson Gonzales was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amadeo Rocio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Amadeo Rocio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernando Harroyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Lajos Bögi took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrik Øskan. Patrik Øskan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. After a defensive mix-up in Reall Madrid Marienburg's zone, Xacintu Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Rocio came out of the goal and Xacintu Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reall Madrid Marienburg's Amadeo Rocio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xacintu Ribeiro in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Reall Madrid Marienburg's zone, Xacintu Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Rocio came out of the goal and Xacintu Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xacintu Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Amadeo Rocio made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlético Bucaramanga eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
