After taking down the ball on Limburg United's corner Fabian Orellana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ter Stegen quite easily take care of the ball. In the 22nd minute Brend Vanden Driessche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ter Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Brend Vanden Driessche put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ter Stegen. 33 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Joris De Raeve came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when Limburg United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brend Vanden Driessche didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as 1948 MKS's Donleavy Barrett slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sean Van Dijck. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. Joris De Raeve hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when Limburg United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joris De Raeve didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Joris De Raeve's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Ter Stegen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 54th minute, Gilbert Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joris De Raeve who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Ter Stegen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 59 minutes, Mack Willson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1948 MKS and the Limburg United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ter Stegen firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Limburg United getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Fabian Orellana hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Vanden Driessche in the 79th minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Terwenhout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ter Stegen made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Emanuel Coekelbergh sent off a good shot on target. Sean Van Dijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Jameson in the 85th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Limburg United got a freekick which was hit by Amador Azailla. After 92 minutes of play, 1948 MKS's Ersin Uyguralp made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sean Van Dijck was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Ter Stegen managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Limburg United's Joris De Raeve fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
