In the 2nd match minute, FC Viplala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Voogjärv to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rdth minute of the game Edwin Grabert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Viplala's Keijo Jaakson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Keijo Jaakson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwin Grabert's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Edwin Grabert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keijo Jaakson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savage Hippo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eddie Bjurström in the 7th minute. Eddie Bjurström made a great header on Savage Hippo's corner, it was just that FC Viplala's Keijo Jaakson managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilmantas Magdišauskas in the 9th minute of play forced FC Viplala's goalkeeper Keijo Jaakson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Edwin Grabert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Savage Hippo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to FC Viplala getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jürgen Jaani hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's goal looked a bit too open when Ennu Ainsaar came free, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Savage Hippo's Edwin Grabert made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keijo Jaakson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keijo Jaakson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Grabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edwin Grabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After taking down the ball on Savage Hippo's corner Eddie Bjurström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Keijo Jaakson quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Saulius Pilipavičius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savage Hippo's supporters rose to their feet, but Saulius Pilipavičius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keijo Jaakson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennu Ainsaar in the 36th minute of play forced Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Askstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Edwin Grabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keijo Jaakson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 41st match minute, FC Viplala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jürgen Jaani to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Savage Hippo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 51 minutes, Edwin Grabert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savage Hippo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Grabert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edwin Grabert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keijo Jaakson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Roland Voogjärv got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Artur Vabamüürlane. The crowd rose to their feet as Edwin Grabert kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Keijo Jaakson. That made the score 0-4 in the 63 minute of play. Keijo Jaakson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Grabert in the 68th minute of the match. Edwin Grabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Edwin Grabert came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Savage Hippo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edwin Grabert couldn't finish the play. FC Viplala's Roland Voogjärv got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Roland Voogjärv off the ground. A collision led to FC Viplala getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Roland Voogjärv hit a great ball. Edwin Grabert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Keijo Jaakson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jürgen Jaani hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Keijo Jaakson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edwin Grabert in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Vakaris Daujotas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savage Hippo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Viplala the free kick. The Savage Hippo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
