After taking down the ball on Girona FC's corner Iván Salgado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boruc Perkowski quite easily take care of the ball. Cristo Quintero kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Wertian S Salvinorins getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Victorino Ado hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boruc Perkowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Boruc Perkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Gdaniec in the 22nd minute of play. Roman Gdaniec took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boruc Perkowski. Boruc Perkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Girona FC's attentive José Gonçalves managed to snatch the ball when Soner Şükür made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Gdaniec in the 27th minute of play forced Wertian S Salvinorins's goalkeeper Boruc Perkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konrad Chodzinski got free with Lastur Murcia in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roman Gdaniec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boruc Perkowski having to make a save. Boruc Perkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Gdaniec, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patryk Bartoszek in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lastur Murcia saved Girona FC from getting behind. Boruc Perkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Gdaniec, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Berkay Yetiş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boruc Perkowski having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Wertian S Salvinorins's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Gdaniec came free, but Boruc Perkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berkay Yetiş made a great header on Girona FC's corner, it was just that Wertian S Salvinorins's Boruc Perkowski managed to reach the ball for a save. Konrad Chodzinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Lastur Murcia made a huge save. Berkay Yetiş kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Roman Gdaniec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boruc Perkowski. Wertian S Salvinorins's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roman Gdaniec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Girona FC made a substitution. David Palau replaced Roman Gdaniec. The wind increased when David Palau made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Wertian S Salvinorins's Howard Lovecraft got a free kick in the 87th minute. Girona FC's Alfonso De Pedro was substituted for Berkay Yetiş. Girona FC's Kepa Molina was substituted for Joaquim Lustosa. In the 89th minute, Howard Lovecraft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute David Palau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Perkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Alfonso De Pedro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Girona FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Wertian S Salvinorins's much stronger midfield.
