The supporters of Sporting Westmeerbeek booed when Fidan SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ufuk Okutman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Matias Dimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rauf Özalp in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sporting Westmeerbeek defense, Rauf Özalp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Dimo. The Sporting Westmeerbeek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Dimo should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Feridun Vefai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matias Dimo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With a little luck, Fidan SK's Yavuz Selimhan Yağız got control of the ball when Edward Cranenburgh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yavuz Selimhan Yağız made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Roque Aguilar sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, Sporting Westmeerbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Feridun Vefai came free, but Matias Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rauf Özalp in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Dimo saved Sporting Westmeerbeek from getting behind. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Westmeerbeek's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erdem Rüştü was slow to take the kick. During this time Fidan SK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Erdem Rüştü almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting Westmeerbeek's Matias Dimo did a great save. In the 44th minute Rauf Özalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Dimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rauf Özalp to make the kick off. Yavuz Selimhan Yağız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Aguilar, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Matias Dimo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Jacque De Brouwer was substituted for Pieter Degraef. In the 79th minute Roque Aguilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yavuz Selimhan Yağız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
