When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Kärim Benzine took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rodriguinho Sousa to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Berni y Benja FC's zone, Deilmison van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Videl came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Berni y Benja FC's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Amancio Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amancio Videl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deilmison van Basten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Edgardo Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Deilmison van Basten came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the ATHLETICO PRaiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deilmison van Basten couldn't finish the play. Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amancio Videl having to make a save. Amancio Videl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 45th minute of the match. With his leg Rodriguinho Sousa managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Berni y Benja FC's Olle Carlsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Kärim Benzine made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Deilmison van Basten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deilmison van Basten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gaétan Govou was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amancio Videl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Berni y Benja FC booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilhelm Skoog hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Tino in the 66th minute of play. Deilmison van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amancio Videl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deilmison van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. Berni y Benja FC's Amancio Videl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Berni y Benja FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Kärim Benzine put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. Berni y Benja FC's Atilano Goiz was substituted for Pastor Tino. Amancio Videl made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Gu Zhan Cheng sent off a good shot on target. Amancio Videl acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vilhelm Skoog. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Boni, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Amancio Videl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the ATHLETICO PRaiano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Berni y Benja FC.
