The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorin Cârstoiu got free with Ignacy Niewiadomski in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cyprian Knopek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Sendoa having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Burak Czerwiec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Sendoa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to U Craiova getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ştefan Stârcea hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Sylwester Giec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Sendoa was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Ignacy Niewiadomski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorin Cârstoiu went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the match, U Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Giec came free, but Juan Sendoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Glany proboszcza booed when U Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Frumușanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Zdzislaw Indyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Sendoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sylwester Giec in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Sendoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Sendoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylwester Giec in the 41st minute of play. Juan Sendoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Knopek, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Ignacy Niewiadomski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeo Crețulescu in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sylwester Giec to make the kick off. Sylwester Giecs short, quick shot in the 50thth minute got Juan Sendoa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Sylwester Giec put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Sendoa. After having played for 62 minutes, Konstantinos Svolos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glany proboszcza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantinos Svolos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sylwester Giec who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Juan Sendoa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sylwester Giec's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Juan Sendoa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Glany proboszcza's Sylwester Giec in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U Craiova's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sylwester Giec in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Sendoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ignacy Niewiadomski came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by U Craiova's Romeo Crețulescu. But to his dismay, Romeo Crețulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Sylwester Giecs short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Juan Sendoa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 75 minutes of play, U Craiova's Romeo Crețulescu made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ignacy Niewiadomski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sylwester Giec who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Juan Sendoa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Burak Czerwiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacy Niewiadomski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Cârstoiu in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, Glany proboszcza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Abraão to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sylwester Giec in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Sendoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Glany proboszcza's Ignacy Niewiadomski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Pamfil in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute of the match U Craiova got a corner. Glany proboszcza's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dorin Cârstoiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. U Craiova's Dorin Cârstoiu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ignacy Niewiadomski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Glany proboszcza's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
