The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Friedrich Nietzsche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dean Watts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedrich Nietzsche in the 14th minute of play forced Amputees FC's goalkeeper Dean Watts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18thth minute of the game Friedrich Nietzsche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amputees FC's Dean Watts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abraham Laing received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cláudio Taffarel came out and tried to block the shot, but Abraham Laing slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. In the 28th minute Meriç Özsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Watts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Meriç Özsen took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dean Watts. Dean Watts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to AKÇEŞMESPOR getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Laureano Lisboa hit a great ball. A collision led to Amputees FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Berne Royans hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Amputees FC's goal looked a bit too open when Friedrich Nietzsche came free, but Dean Watts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amputees FC's Dean Watts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meriç Özsen in the 35th minute of play. Abraham Laing in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cláudio Taffarel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abraham Laing who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Taffarel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dean Watts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meriç Özsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of AKÇEŞMESPOR booed when Amputees FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berne Royans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauder Franklin in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

AKÇEŞMESPOR's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Laing in the 51st minute of play. Dean Watts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Friedrich Nietzsche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AKÇEŞMESPOR were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Amputees FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Berto Monta took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Berto Monta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dean Watts quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Friedrich Nietzsche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dean Watts was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Deivid De Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th match minute, AKÇEŞMESPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid De Souza to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Tahir Pınarbaşı quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After a rather tough play, Amputees FC's Berne Royans got a free kick in the 87th minute. The long shot by Berto Monta in the 87th minute really tested Dean Watts's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 89 minutes into the match, AKÇEŞMESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Carleton Howie came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carleton Howie in the 91st minute of play forced AKÇEŞMESPOR's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AKÇEŞMESPOR's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
