Francesco Toldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mellbystrand IK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Candido Urbes hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's goal looked a bit too open when Suleiman Süleyman came free, but Daniel Alrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suleiman Süleyman in the 19th minute of play forced Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper Daniel Alrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mellbystrand IK's Gösta Botvidsson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Matthias Kiempe in the 20 minute of the game. In the 26thth minute of the game Kurt Brogren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peretu City 09's Francesco Toldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Mellbystrand IK's Joakim Mattsson got a free kick in the 28th minute. Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robbe Stroobans was the one to do the kick off. Robbe Stroobans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Alrot came out and tried to block the shot, but Robbe Stroobans slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 51st minute. Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robbe Stroobans in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match Peretu City 09 got a corner. Mellbystrand IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marin Bosânceanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kurt Brogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Leif Ahlbeck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellbystrand IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peretu City 09 the free kick. Leif Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Suleiman Süleyman in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Alrot saved Mellbystrand IK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Brogren in the 72nd minute of play forced Peretu City 09's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peretu City 09's Marcial Abar was substituted for Suleiman Süleyman. Daniel Alrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Abar in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Zdrăilă in the 84th minute of play forced Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper Daniel Alrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Brogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francesco Toldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Brogren ran back to his position shaking his head. Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Zdrăilă in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcial Abar got free with Daniel Alrot in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peretu City 09 played a much better game than Mellbystrand IK and deserved their victory. The Mellbystrand IK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
