In the 3rd minute Flavio Etxatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Alrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Javiero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Brogren in the 5th minute. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Konrad Nordin was slow to take the kick. During this time Mellbystrand IK's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mellbystrand IK's corner Leif Ahlbeck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benicio Javiero quite easily take care of the ball. In the 8th match minute, Atlético Nuevo Laredo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Larpe to maneuver through the defense. Kurt Brogren took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Javiero. Benicio Javiero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Leif Ahlbeck kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Benicio Javiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Brogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goal looked a bit too open when Konrad Nordin came free, but Benicio Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Brogren got free with Benicio Javiero in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kurt Brogren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Benicio Javiero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Mellbystrand IK booed when Atlético Nuevo Laredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Orlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Javiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Brogren in the 29th minute of the match. Benicio Javiero made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Candido Urbes sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benicio Javiero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benicio Javiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st minute, Kurt Brogren made a precise shot to the right of Benicio Javiero. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 54 minutes into the game, Mellbystrand IK's Konrad Nordin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benicio Javiero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 57 minutes into the match, Joakim Mattsson notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Benicio Javiero. Benicio Javiero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kurt Brogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Benicio Javiero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Mellbystrand IK's Joakim Mattsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 66 minutes of play, Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benicio Javiero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the game, Carolo Bernat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mellbystrand IK the free kick. A collision led to Atlético Nuevo Laredo getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Carolo Bernat hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Kurt Brogren sped through Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benicio Javiero. Konrad Nordin struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Benicio Javiero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellbystrand IK. Kurt Brogren took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Javiero. Benicio Javiero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. If Kurt Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Brogren in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benicio Javiero saved Atlético Nuevo Laredo from getting behind. There was no doubt that Mellbystrand IK were the better team. Mellbystrand IK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
